John
Taschek, American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP), is President of Taschek Environmental Consulting (TEC). Mr. Taschek has over 18 years of experience in preparing National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) documents (environmental assessments and impact statements) and has managed and executed many such documents for local, federal, and state agencies. His educational background includes a Masters of Community and Regional Planning from the University of New Mexico, a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies from the University of California and postgraduate studies in planning and environmental science. He was previously employed as Senior Vice President of Marron, Taschek, Knight, Inc., as Vice President of the Environmental and Community Planning Group (EcoPlan), as Urban Transportation Planner for Bernalillo County, and as Planning Director for the Village of Corrales, New Mexico. He has attended numerous training courses that are relevant to environmental work and is experienced in managing interdisciplinary teams to produce planning and environmental documents.
